Reunited with The 24 Hour Plays for their Viral Monologues series, this time focused on the vital work of swings, understudies, and the resident/associate directors who work with them. Directed “Self-Tape” by Megan Chan Meinero, featuring Alex Gibson and Déa Julien.

Associate Director for the world premiere of The Outsiders Musical at La Jolla Playhouse, directed by Danya Taymor, music by Jamestown Revival and Justin Levine, and book by Adam Rapp.

Associate Director for the West Coast tour/remount of Kristina Wong, Sweatshop Overlord at La Jolla Playhouse and Portland Center Stage.

Co-directed (with Alex Might & SMJ) on No Mercy by SMJ in a workshop production for the Moxie Arts Incubator.

Partnered with the Lilly Awards, The 24 Hour Plays, and New Victory Theater on “Speak Up, Act Out: Celebrating Student Voices” as part of their Lorraine Hansberry Initiative. Directed “Inside the Mind of Us” by Lily Lanzetta.

Worked with Ma-Yi Theater Company and 2g productions on their ShortStacks short play festival, featuring AANHPI writers at various stages of their careers. Directed two new pieces by Lloyd Suh and Durra Leung, respectively.

Named the Directing Apprentice for Dear Evan Hansen’s return to Broadway and North American Tour following the shutdown.

Directed a virtual reading Yang Jiang’s Forging the Truth for Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre and Ma-Yi Theater Company as part of the former’s Expand the Canon series.

Directed the audio drama series Soft Jade (軟玉) by Nina Ki for the Yale Summer Cabaret.

Served as Dramaturg for Sam Hamashima’s Supposed Home (dir. May Liang) for the 44th annual Bay Area Playwrights Festival.

Directed Kim Loo Gets A Redo by Kimberly Immanuel and Lisa Helmi Johanson for New Ohio Theatre’s ICE Factory Festival.

Assistant directing Enemy of the People (written & directed by Robert Icke, starring Ann Dowd) at the Park Avenue Armory.

Directed a virtual developmental workshop of Deepak Kumar and Jord Liu’s Baked! The Musical for Underscore Theatre Company.

Directed Writer’s Retreat for Primetime Theater Festival - a virtual festival for funny, fast-paced episodic plays, written in an abbreviated writers' room setting.

2020

Commissioned by A4 alongside Seonjae Kim (2016 Van Lier Fellow) to create an online, interactive performance experience (‘The Potluck Plays: A Digital Feast’) for their 2020 Gala.

Selected as a member of Cohort 2 of the Roundabout Directors Group.

Directed Steven Sater & Duncan Sheik’s Spring Awakening for the Fordham Mimes & Mummers in a hybrid film/Zoom production.

Participated in the 2020 Nationals Cohort of The 24 Hour Plays as a director.

Moved to Princeton, NJ to become a Directing/Producing Apprentice at McCarter Theatre Center; working as a Directing Assistant to Emily Mann (Gloria: A Life), David Catlin (Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein), and Adam Immerwahr (A Christmas Carol).

Directing and curating ‘Head and Heart,’ a concert for New York Musical Festival’s (NYMF) Student Leadership Project, featuring works from twenty composers aged 25 and under.

Graduated from Vassar College with BAs in Drama and Educational Studies; awarded the Molly Thacher Kazan Prize for Excellence in Theatre Arts; awarded highest honors from Department of Educational Studies.
